Research Assistant Position/Placement in Wind Turbine Wake Aerodynamics

We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join our team on an exciting project focused on wind turbine wake aerodynamics. The successful candidate will support experimental and computational research aimed at improving wind turbine wake modelling. The position is fixed term, preferably for 12 months but shorter durations can be considered.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Analysis of wind tunnel data (power, velocity and load measurements)

Analysis of CFD data from various contributors and comparison with wind tunnel results

Prepare reports and research papers describing the results of the research, both confidential and for publication.
 

Qualifications:

A Degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering or related field

Experience in physical and/or numerical modelling of wind turbine wakes

Evidence of the ability to actively engage in and contribute to writing and publishing research papers, particularly for refereed journals.
