Summer School 2025: Wind Tunnel Testing for Wind Energy and Urban Flows
Thrilled to announce that the 2nd Summer School on "Wind Tunnel Testing for Wind Energy and Urban Flows" will take place at NTUA, during the week 1st - 5th of July 2025! The number of places is limited. Application Deadline 30 May 2025. See Application Form.
The Summer School is tailored for PhD Candidates and professionals eager to advance their knowledge in wind tunnel testing for both wind energy applications and urban airflow dynamics. Building on the success of last year’s program, we will continue to explore the fundamentals and advanced techniques involved in wind tunnel experimentation, instrumentation, and data analysis.
Participants will enhance their practical skills through hands-on experience in conducting experiments that focus on wind energy systems and urban wind patterns. The curriculum will include a balanced mix of theoretical foundations and practical applications, emphasizing the interaction of wind flows within urban environments.
PLUS: We will go on a field trip to a local wind farm, offering a real-world perspective on wind energy systems.
The Summer School is organized by leading experts from Delft University of Technology, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Politecnico di Milano, Technical University of Munich and School of Mechanical Engineering - NTUA within the framework of "TWEET-IE : Twin Wind Tunnels for Energy and the Environment - Innovations and Excellence" EU HORIZON Project.
