TWEET-IE project at the European Researchers' Night 2023

TWEET-IE project was presented, as a significant activity of the NTUA Wind Tunnel, at the European Researchers' Night 2023, that took place at NTUA on Friday 29/9/2023. European Researchers' Night is a Europe-wide public event, which displays the diversity of science and its impact on citizens' daily lives in fun, inspiring ways.

Lecture on Vegetation in Urban Street Canyons and its Impact on Air Quality, by Dr. C.Gromke at NTUA

A lecture on the "Vegetation in Urban Street Canyons and its Impact on Air Quality" is scheduled to be given by Dr.-Ing. Christof Gromke (KIT) on Thursday July 13th, 2023 at NTUA. Dr. Gromke’s presentation is in the framework of his visit for the second phase of the first Twin Test measurements of our EU Horizon TWEET-IE project.

Green Buildings and Air Quality Wind Tunnel Measurements at KIT

Effects of building wall and roof greening on indoor air quality are being studied during the first Twin Test of the TWEET-IE project.

Announcing the first TWEET-IE twin test

We put a model building in a wind tunnel at KIT (Karlsruhe, Germany) and by using LDV (Laser Doppler Velocimetry) we measure air velocity at over 100 points around and even inside the building in order to study how natural ventilation works. See the presented video.

The Grand Opening Event (GOE) took place in Athens from 24th – 26th January with on-site participation from TUM, KIT, TU Delft and POLIMI.
